Technically, it's a media shelf, but bookshelf sounds better to me. I'm a research nerd, and aside from Source downloads and channeled information, I read, watch and listen. These are the books, podcasts, and new media that I've learned and integrated into my practices over the years. I've tried to catalog by type, in the order that I encountered them, from most recent to oldest, with notes on topic, etc. Enjoy exploring and question everything! Trust your intuition on what resonates for you.
Podcasts, Film and Media that have provided tools, insight and inspiriation:
"Blossom" hosts this amazing podcast that I've just started listening too. It covers a range of topics that I'm really enjoying - I started with the episdoe with Lee Harris.
Bredan Vermeire covers a range of health and wellness topics with a variety of guests on this podcast. I'm still a new listener, but the episodes on mold, CIRS, and other topics resonate with my experience. I found him on Instagram first.
EA is a remote viewer who never wanted to be "the alien girl" but the universe and her soul planned otherwise. A book, a video channel, and a web community offer rabbit holes to venture into.
I mainly listen to the podcast, but Amy Dempster has tons of content for those who'd rather talk to trees than humans. I've learned a great deal about reconnecting with nature spirits.
A podcast on relationships, ethical non-monogamy and more relationship stuff.
Dan Savage (LGBT) is an OG on sex advice, with a long-standing column, podcast, and more.
a wonderfully witchy podcast with Pam Grossman, which has introduced me to many more wonderful witches!
I found Brene Brown early in her public career with her first TedX talk in Houston in 2010 - Now she's got books, media, etc on vulnerability, leadership, and more.
Ted Talks are broken up by topics to create interesting conversations and new perspectives in this podcast by NPR.
The books & audiobooks that have stuck with me: Audiobooks work best for me but many of these are in print or on Kindle as well.
The creator of the Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique (QHHT) and founder of Ozark Mountain Publishing created a series of spiritual books based on her lifetime of work.
I'm still working through this one, but enjoying it thus far - it's also gotten a lot of hate, so I'm not sure it's good for newbies to the kink world - I'll let you know! Author Website
Channeler and teacher Lee Harris has an amazing collection of audiobooks, videos, and a community that has helped me immensely. His work focuses on consciousness and personal growth. I have taken many courses with him on my own journey
Iris Beaglehole is a fabulous writer who offers me respite when I need to venture into funny, fictional witchery for a brain break, with real-world witchy lessons written into the stories. She has some other books I haven't read, fictional and ones that focus more on real-world magic.
I've been witching in this lifetime most of my life, and this was one of the best reads I've encountered on Modern Traditional witchcraft. Laura also has coursework, other books on sigil witchery, and more.
I'm a fangirl of psychotherapist Jessica Fern, whose well-written guides to navigating attachment, trauma and relationships gave me language and a pathway to polyamory. There is wisdom in her work for the monogamous and the polyamorous.
Hilarious and vulnerable, from the patient perspective, Jenny Lawson explores her own healing in her books. I love her raw and honest writing. She also owns a bookstore in San Antonio, which I frequent when I'm in the area.
Dr. Faith's audio, books, zines, and more take a practical approach to emotional, physical, and mental healing that was a game-changer for me starting in 2019. She works with Mircososm Publishing - which is also awesome! Dr. Faith is also based in San Antonio.
